Description:

The Project comprises of the removal of the existing pier, the dredging of limestone rock to -3m CD and the construction of a new pier and access road.

The pier is being constructed using pre-cast concrete units filled with in-situ concrete. The new pier deck will be constructed in reinforced concrete. New pier lights and new navigation lights are being provided as part of the works.

Particular aspects to the project include;

• Working adjacent to a special area of conservation

• Establishment of site concrete batching facility
• Construction of concret caissons and X-bloc armouring
• Deployment and use of diving resources
