The Hangar measured 160m long x 100m deep. Apart from one internal column it was clear spanning. The door support girders and the central spine girder (4 no) were each 80 meter long two of which were 11 meter deep and weighted 180Te each.

The door and spine girders were assembled on site and lifted into position using a tandem crane lift.

The structure is 22m high to the underside of the girders i.e. 32m to the top of the girder.
