StructurClad is SIAC’s Offsite Unitised Prefabricated Wall System. The growing popularity of modular off-site construction, together with the increasing trend to unitise a wide variety of façade treatments on commercial projects, led SIAC to research new methods of manufacture and installation to meet the needs of the architect and specifier. We developed a factory-built unitised system, StructurClad, which offers dramatic time savings over conventional façade treatments. StucturClad panels are manufactured to individual requirements in a clean, controlled environment in our assembly plant in Gloucester. Once on site, StructurClad panels are installed without the assistance of mechanical access or scaffolding. The pre-fabricated panels can incorporate many of the features of traditionally built window configurations and offer dramatic on-site programme savings. The results are reduced preliminary and installation costs. Specifying the StructurClad unitised system offers valuable benefits as follows;
