Frameless Bolted Glass
Contemporary architecture makes more use than ever of structural glass. It has many benefits – clean lines, natural light, acoustic and thermal isolation and low maintenance.
Bolted glass consists of glass units, usually large, bolted together by means of stainless steel spiders, sometimes supported by glass fins. These glass fins have a structural function.
The effect of single point fixing the glass means that the visual impact of this system is minimal and it allows for great flexibility in use.
Generally, the spiders are connected to pre-installed structural steel; however, wire rope technology or bow string designs can be used.
