As contractor for the £5 million Armagh City Centre Environmental Improvement Scheme, SIAC (NI) Ltd have completed 15 months of the anticipated 21 month programme.

This high-specification scheme involves granite and limestone paving, street lighting, road re-surface, street furniture and public art throughout 11 streets in Armagh City Centre.

To date all stakeholders involved in the project have been very impressed with SIAC's delivery of all aspects of this scheme including project management, public liaison and the quality of workmanship.

In relation to project management, SIAC (NI) has been commended for the efficient operation they are delivering in what is a highly complicated public realm scheme. The scheme is expected to be completed within budget and 6 months ahead of schedule in November 2009. This efficiency has been welcomed by both the public and local businesses and has minimised the negative publicity often associated with similar schemes.

At the recent launch of the Market Square phase of the scheme, representatives from Armagh City and District Council and Armagh City Centre Management commented that "all funders, interested parties and local businesses were impressed with the quality workmanship and obvious attention to detail consistently delivered by SIAC. We have been delighted to work with SIAC on this scheme to date and would not hesitate to recommend the company for future projects".
