Description:
Leicester Square is one of the most historic and important squares in London .
The exciting contemporary new design has been developed with the aim of
re-establishing Leicester square as London ’s premier square and “The Home of
Cinema”
This is SIAC’s first major public realm works contract in London. SIAC has
vast experience implementing large scale and complex projects within live
traffic, major entertainment events and pedestrian environments whilst
maintaining access to all stakeholders and minimising disruption.
Scope of works:

New granite paving for the four terraces, garden pathways, all 12 side-streets
and the footways of Whitcomb St, Orange St and Charing Cross Rd;

Supply and construction of a unique white 'Ribbon' seat surrounding the
central gardens;

Installation of the bespoke stainless steel railings and gates to the gardens;

A new contemporary planting scheme for the terraces and fountain;

New landscaped gardens;

Complete refurbishment of existing below ground toilet blocks, including new
entrances;

Creation of new water feature surroundign the fountain;

Flexible public lighting of the Square, gardens and side-streets;

Installation of hydraulic traffic management bollards on Cranbourn, Irving,
St. Martin's, Panton and Leicester Streets.
