Description:

• First Public Private partnership road contract signed by the NRA.
• Design and construction of 36km of motorway, 3km of dual carriageway and associated side roads.
• Design and construction of 18 overbridges, 2 underbridges and grade separated junctions at Kilcock, Enfield and Kinnegad.
• Works included the design and construction of a main toll plaza with 9 lanes in each direction and 2 subsidiary toll plazas.
• Undertaken in a rural, environmental sensitive setting.
• The successful planning and procurement of 1 million m3 of road fill from adjacent landowners which reduced the disturbance and inconvenience to the local community.
• The successful relocation of over 50 badger setts and 86 bat roosts.
• Completed 10 months ahead of schedule
