Description:

The project involves the widening of the main Dublin to Cork rail corridor from 2 tracks to four between Le Fanu Road and the Fonthill Road.

The project requires the bulk excavation of 100k of material, the construction of 1200linear meters of retaining walls to retain existing houses in the Cherry Orchard area.

The replacing of two existing road bridges in Cloverhill and Neillstown as well the construction of two new stations at Fonthill Road.

All these works are carried out in close proximity to the live rail line without speed restrictions. These works require close liaising with Irish rail safety and operational departments
