Description:
The Project was carried out as a Joint Venture with Wills Brothers Ltd. It is
a design and build contract with RPS Ltd carrying out the design on behalf of
the JV.
The route traverses approximately 18.2 Kilometres of rural countryside
to the south of the existing N5 and shall, generally, constructed within a
'green field' setting. Generally the Works comprised;
18.2 kilometres of standard single two lane carriageway national primary road
Realignment of various single carriageway local roads
Two No. grade separated junctions and associated slip roads
Four No. roundabout junctions
Seven No. at-grade junctions
Seven No. principal structures
