Ciaran Feighery (BCL, LL B)
Chairman
Ciaran was appointed Chairman of the Board of SIAC Construction in 1990. After
leaving secondary school, he attended University College Dublin to study law
and in 1969 was awarded a B.C.L degree and in 1970 an L.L.B degree. Ciaran
qualified as a solicitor in 1971 and then spent two years teaching in Malaysia
with the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO).
On his return to Ireland, he gained experience in two legal practices
before opening up his own solicitor's practice in Dublin in 1979, where he has
been operating since.
Finn Lyden (BE, C Eng, FIEI, FCA)
Chief Executive
Finn, in his role as Chief Executive of SIAC is responsible for all of the
Group's
operations as well as strategic development. He joined as Chief
Executive in 1994.
Prior to joining SIAC, Finn was Planning and Development Manager of the
Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH) Mainland Europe Group (1987-1994) and a member
of the corporate management team in the Netherlands. Finn was responsible for
five-year corporate plans for the Dutch Group, new acquisitions and
development.
Finn qualified as a civil engineer in 1974 and joined Stokes Kennedy
Crowley (now KPMG) straight from university, training as a chartered
accountant. He transferred to SKC Management Consultancy in 1978.
Subsequently, Finn was a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Whinney, Management
Consultancy (1984-1987).
Terry Ryan (BE, FCA)
Group Finance Director
As Group Finance Director, Terry is responsible for all of the Group's
strategic, operational financing and treasury activities. He is a chartered
accountant and engineering graduate. Prior to joining SIAC, Terry was Chief
Financial Officer of the Glen Dimplex Group (1998-2001).
Terry trained as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, where he
was a Senior Manager (1988-1998). Following graduation, Terry worked with De
Beers Industrial Diamonds in Shannon as a Production Engineer (1986-1988).
Pat Ahern
Director
As Group Director, Pat is responsible for the Roofing, Cladding and Glazing
divisions in Ireland and the Structural Steel Divisions in Ireland and the UK.
Prior to joining SIAC in 1985 Pat worked with Ascon for five years and spent
the previous two years in London after qualifying as a quantity surveyor.
Pat joined the SIAC Group in 1985, as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. In
1989 he moved to the Roofing and Cladding Division, Cork, as Senior Quantity
Surveyor/Contracts Manager. He was appointed as General Manager to the
Division in 1999.
In 2001, he was made a Director of the steel fabrication facility in
Portarlington, SIAC Butlers Steel Ltd, and was appointed Managing Director in
2003.
