SIAC is licensed specialist installer of most cladding systems. It is the most popular form of industrial facade construction. SIAC can offer great ideas and solutions to whatever the use of the building use or requirements a client might have. The potential with respect to weight savings, air sealing, fire resistance, wind loading is available depending on the application. The great thing is that any color is available. The life span of the sheet can vary significantly depending on metal and coatings used on the product selected.
Composite Cladding
This manufactured sandwich panel is a structure made of three layers: It is a popular form of construction made up of a low density core inserted in between two relatively thin metal skin layers. This sandwich setup allows achieving excellent mechanical performance at minimal weight. The very high rigidity of a sandwich panel is achieved thanks to interaction of its components under flexural load applied to the panel: core takes the shear loads and creates a distance between the skins which take the in-plane stresses, one skin in tension, the other in compression. There are different General information on sandwich panel structure, different sandwich core type’s available and internal skin and external metal skins can be made from a multiple metals. The potential with respect to weight savings, fire resistance, and wind loading is available depending on the application. The great thing is that any color is available. The life span of the sheet can vary significantly depending on metal and coatings used on the product selected.
Single Skin
SIAC is an approved installer for single and twin skin built up systems. Twin skin roofing and cladding systems are a popular form of construction consisting of an internal profiled metal liner sheet, a metal spacer system and an external profiled metal weathering sheet. The system is insulated using glass or mineral wool quilt or slab and is built up on site for maximum flexibility. Tegral also supply a secret fix system (Alu-Seam® and Seam-Loc) and a site-assembled composite system (Trinsul). Tegral’s Twin skin roofing and cladding systems can offer the designer the opportunity to achieve both aesthetic appeal and the required functionality to meet regulatory design standards. Tegral Twin skin systems can also be specified to provide key functional benefits such as fire resistance and acoustic protection – direct advantages not found in other roofing and cladding systems.
Rain Screen Systems
SIAC specializes in installing Rainscreen façades in a wide range of cladding materials, including aluminium, stainless steel, copper, zinc, granite and other surfaces. These are integrated high-performance modular systems offering architects great flexibility, with accurate detailing in either flat or curved facades. Rainscreen systems allow the flow of air into the system ventilating the cavity. This allows any water which penetrates the panel joints to flow down the back of the panels and out at the sill drip.
Normally when Rainscreen is used, the internal leaf of the building is constructed in reinforced concrete or concrete block, this means that the Rainscreen is not on the critical path as the building is already s sealed. Installation is simple and can proceed at the same time as the internal fit-out. Rainscreen is a very flexible cladding option which allows the style and shape and colour of the façade to be altered dramatically.
Stone Cladding
SIAC have been involved in a range of projects over the years involving stone cladding projects. Stone can come in a various sizes and colour which offer some fantastic features. Stone can come in different finishes and colours. They can be both natural unfinished to polished marble. In turn you can get artificial stone cladding effects.
We have been involved in shopping centres, pharmaceutical plants where we have used stone rain screen systems to enhance main entrance and create features in buildings.
