Description

This project involved the upgrading of 1.5 km of the Frascati Road between its junction with Mount Merrion Avenue and the adjoining Temple Hill up to and including its junction with Newtownpark Avenue in Blackrock.
The scheme involved the reallocation of road space with the intention of providing improved facilities for cyclists and pedestrians in the area.
the works involved the following main activities:

1. Provision of a cycle lane to both sides of the road
2. Upgrading of the traffic signals at each junction
3. Removal and reconstruction of the existing road surface and footpaths
4. Installation of new ducting and the relocation/construction of existing services
5. Construction of new drainage
6. Landscaping works
