Description

Pharmaceutical company MSD appointed a team to revamp and rebuild an existing plant in Swords to ramp up global manufacturing 
for its cancer therapy drug ‘Keytruda’ 

The works consisted of construction of a new Warehouse with main entrance, extensive works to existing Warehouse to convert to a bulk drug substance
building and removal of existing façade and installation of new façade to CUB buildings with other ancillary buildings.
All with extensive tie in to existing buildings on site. 

SIAC Roofing & Cladding were contracted to install the full envelope, Kingspan & Paroc Cladding, (7000sq.m)  Moy Materials Roofing (13000sq m)  Rainscreen cladding  (1000m2) (Stacbond & Kingspan Benchmark) 

BDS building consisted of removal of existing roof and installation of new built up Sintofoil TPO system from Moy Materials. Cladding works consisted of removal
of portions of existing cladding and installation of new Kingspan cladding & Kingspan Benchmark aluminium rainscreen facade with Wicona Glazing. 

Existing CUB and MS&T building consisted of overlaying Moy materials Paralon membrane onto existing roof, removal of all existing cladding and installation of new Kingspan 
& Paroc Cladding with Wicona Glazing.

New Warehouse building consisted of New Moy materials Paraflex felt roof build up with Kingspan wall cladding. 
Main Entrance building consisted of Paroc karrier cladding with Stacond rainscreen façade in white and black with a 
long external corridor with striking columns clad in Stacbond black cassettes  

The plant will be operational in 2021.
